In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the competition schedule will be shortened by one day.  In addition, Round 1 and Round 2 will be conducted without an audience.

  • In consideration of the waiting period for juries and contestants from overseas after their arrival in Japan, the competition period will be shortened by one day. Therefore, the original schedule of March 15-28 will be changed to March 16-28.
  • In Round 3 chamber music judging will be changed from the Main Hall to the Small Hall. The solo performance judging in the Main Hall takes one day and the chamber music judging in the Small Hall takes two days, which makes Round 3 a total of three days (originally two days).
