State of application for the 4th Takamatsu International Piano Competition(2017.10.12)
The state of application for the 4th Takamatsu International Piano Competition which was closed on September 20 was announced in a press release today as below.
Less than six months are left until the 4th Takamatsu International Piano Competition and the TIPC Office is now busy getting ready for it.
The application was closed on September 20 and we are pleased to announce that we received the highest number of applications from more countries and regions than before, thanks to online application which we launched for the first time and extensive promotion activity to the world.
The detail of application is as follows: the number of applicants reached 332 an increase of 93 compared to the 3rd TIPC. The number of nationalities is 32 countries and regions, an increase of 11. The number of Japanese applicants is 152, an increase of 8, while the number of non-Japanese applicants is 180, an increase of 85. Of 152 Japanese applicants, 9 is from Kagawa, a decrease of 2. The number of Japanese residents overseas is 52, an increase of 27.
We are very happy to receive the highest number of applications from more countries and regions and are certain that the 4th Takamatsu International Piano Competition will present many promising talents to the world.
